History & Philosophy

Fordham University’s commitment to business started early in the 20th century with the founding of the undergraduate College of Business in 1920. The Graduate School of Business opened in 1969 as part of the redevelopment of Lincoln Center. Nestled in the southern border of an eight-acre green campus, the school has flourished in the cultural heart of Manhattan.

In addition, a companion campus was developed in Westchester County, and, just a few years ago, we began offering a Fordham MBA at Peking University in Beijing, China. This program, known as BiMBA (Beijing international MBA), is the first sino-foreign program of its kind approved by the PRC ‘s State Ministry of Education.

Thus, Fordham’s Graduate School of Business degrees are now offered at a total of three campuses, two in New York and one in Asia. Alumni of Fordham Graduate School of Business School total about 14,000 so far.
