The Fordham Accelerator for Business
An Innovative Resource Supporting Entrepreneurs and Startup Ventures

The Fordham Accelerator for Business, sponsored by the Fordham Graduate School of Business Administration provides educational resources and a portfolio of programs and services designed to prepare aspiring entrepreneurs to launch a business. Services offered span the entire process of new business development, from idea development through new business incubation.

Who Can Attend:
These programs are open to the entire Fordham Community, including undergraduate and graduate students of any discipline, as well as alumni, veterans, faculty, staff, parents, and friends. Many programs are also appropriate for professionals already running a business who want to pivot, launch a new product, or get a skills refresher.

Class sizes are limited to maximize personal attention, and a nominal fee is charged.

Students who wish to obtain academic credit must secure an independent study with a faculty advisor.

Programs:
The Accelerator’s flagship clinic, Fordham Startups, launched in 2011, offers an intensive “Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp.” The first program of its type at Fordham, the Startups provides a concentrated "how-to" program designed to prepare entrepreneurs of all ages to launch or build a business.

Fordham Accelerator for Business Programs vary by semester, with new programs being launched and tested based on current markets and student feedback. In addition to Startups, other programs include Idea Gym, Leadership and Business Development Boot Camp, Explore, Develop, Operating and Marketing Plan Development, and Club FABU, which offers a variety of events on topics of interest to entrepreneurial audiences, such as IP Management, Hiring a Team, and Product Sourcing.
